The International Marble Sculpture Symposium, organized by Caransebes Municipality, has taken place for the first time.

ARTICLE 1:
“1st International Marble Sculpture Symposium” will take place in Caransebes-Jud Caras-Severin between:
August the 12th and September the 12th 2010

ARTICLE 2:
A jury appointed by Carasebes Municipality with two guest jury members from United Artists Association of Romania will choose the participating artists.

ARTICLE 3:
A total of 8th artists will be participating in the symposium.

ARTICLE 4:
The material to be used is white “Ruschitza Marble”.

ARTICLE 5:
The Carasebes Municipality will provide each artist with a maximum of 2 cubic meter block/ blocks of marble in total, sized and preformed according to the artists’ orders as dimensional specifications. The organisers will provide power and air compressor. Artists will take their own tools.

ARTICLE 6:
The theme of the symposium is:”Symbol and Traditions”.

ARTICLE 7:
The sculptures produced by the artists in the symposium will be placed in Centrum Park or in the city of Caransebes.

ARTICLE 8:
The accommodation (motel,double rooms) and food will be provided by the Municipality and sponsors. Accompaniments can come on their own expenses.

ARTICLE 9:
Travel expenses for all artists will be covered as follows:200 euros for each foregien artist and local transportations for Romanian artists.

ARTICLE 10:
Each artist who has completed his work will be given a total of 1000 euros.

ARTICLE 11:
The half of the total amount will be paid in the first week of the symposium; the remainder will be given after the symposium is completed, along with the certificate of participation.

ARTICLE 12:
The working area will be outdoors. (In the Teius Park)

ARTICLE 13:
The artists are obligated to remain in the symposium work area during the symposium working hours.

ARTICLE 14:
It's suggested the participants bring visual material of their works to share with the artists and small sculptures, dowings for a exhibition in the Gallery Caransebes, opening will be on August 13th 2010.

ARTICLE 15:
Artists are responsible for taking out their own accident insurances.

ARTICLE 16:

The sketches, model or photographs of model of the proposed artwork for the symposium, showing different angles the dimensions for the block or blocks for stone to be used not exceeding 2 cubic meter in total.
The Symposium Committee must be informed about Mounting sketch, short explanation of the quantity and type of additional material to be used in the proposed artwork.

ARTICLE 17:
Caransebes Municipality and The Symposium Committee have the right of taking decision in the case of “the incompletion of art works within the symposium period”. In case of conflict, Caransebes Courts are authorized.

ARTICLE 18:
The artists selected by the jury to participate in the symposium are supposed to inform their travel schedule.

ARTICLE 19:
The participating artists are regarded as they accepted the symposium specifications and calendar.
|In tow of the week ends trips will be organised in selected locations of the County of Caras –Severin.

Tema: " Simbol si Traditie"

Data limita: 20 mai 2010

1. Tabara se desfasoara pe o perioada de 4 saptamani (12aug.-12 sept.2010)

2. Numar de participanti: 8 sculptori profesionisti din tara si strainatate.

3. Material: marmura de Ruschita 8 blocuri, aprox. 2m³ pentru fiecare sculptor.

4. Fiecare artist vine cu uneltele proprii. Organizatorii pun la dispozitie: compresor de aer cu 4 posturi, (electricitate-220V) pentru 8 utilaje si 3 muncitori pietrari, pe toata durata taberei, un atelier pentru ascutit si ajustat scule. Punct de lucru : in aer liber, sub corturi.

5. Conditii de cazare si masa pentru artisti: cazare in hotel sau pensiune in camere de doua paturi. Persoanele care insotesc isi vor plati cazarea si masa. Masa: 3 mese consistente pe zi ,avand in vedere efortul depus.

6. Se asigura plata transportului pe teritoriul Romaniei si 200 euro pentru fiecare artist participant din strainatate.

7. Onorariul de 1000 de euro pentru fiecare artist la terminarea lucrarii din simpozion.

8. Lucrarile raman in patrimoniul organizatorilor sau sponsorilor si se amplaseaza in spatiile convenite de comun acord cu acestia.

9. Calendar organizatoric: 
- 10 aprilie trimiterea invitatiilor cu programul taberei la filialele UAP din Romania si la invitatii din strainatate pentru o selectie.

- 10 mai ultima zi de primire a solicitarilor de participare la tabara, impreuna cu mapa fiecarui sculptor ce va cuprinde: proiectul lucrarii propuse cu fotografii dupa macheta, 4 imagini cu ultimile lucrari in marmura si CV pe adresa de e-mail euartpe@yahoo.com, Eugen Petri Tel: 0722646263 Fax: 0244594279

- 14 mai jurizarea si anuntarea prin telefon, fax, e-mail a artistilor participanti.

- 12 august deschiderea oficiala a taberei

- 12 august-10 septembrie realizarea lucrarilor

- 10 septembrie amplasarea lucrarilor in spatiul stabilit

- 12 septembrie inchiderea oficiala, cu participarea unui critic de arta.

10. Expozitie cu machetele si schitele simpozionului, precum si alte lucrari de grafica sau sculptura mica in Galeria de Arta Caransebes, in perioada 13 august - 12 septembrie. Vernisajul va fi in data de 13 august 2010.

11. Realizarea unui catalog cu participantii la tabara si lucrarile lor.

12. Mediatizarea simpozionului in mass-media

13. In caz de neprezentare a artistilor selectati in decurs de 24 de ore de la data de 12 august, vor fi inlocuiti cu rezervele.

14. In cazul nerespectarii regulamentului de tabara care va fi inmanat in momentul sosirii, organizatorii isi rezerva dreptul de a rezolva litigiul in instanta.
